Message from the Chair of the CAEC Dear Colleagues, It
is my privilege to serve as the Chair of the Executive Board of the
Charlotte Area Educational Consortium. CAEC was formed in 1969 and is
composed of 24 member institutions. The Consortium continues to offer many collaborative
opportunities for the faculty, staff and students who study, work, teach
and conduct research on our campuses. Activities
for the upcoming year include the annual fall workshop and the grant
awards to member
institutions that are sponsoring programs which support the mission of the
Consortium and meet funding guidelines.

to see the recipients of the 2005-2006 awards. I
encourage you to take an active role in your Consortium and participate in
workshops, grants submission and inform your students of
cross-registration opportunities that would enhance their academic
progress. Please contact your campus
liaison or members of the Executive
Board if there are issues you wish to have the Consortium to address. The
Executive Board looks forward to another successful year in collaborating
with our colleagues at member institutions.
